About Us
The Past
Established in 1959 by Frank Hickson, Contour Doors originally manufactured high quality sliding door equipment supplying major mail order catalogues, including Kays and Empire Stores, before moving into making folding doors for the domestic market.
As the company expanded production took another turn in 1983 with the manufacture of shower enclosures and bath screens. In 1994 the company changed its name to Contour Showers Limited and since the late 1990's has specialised in shower trays and enclosures for the elderly and disabled market.

The Present
Contour Showers was the subject of a management buy-in during May 2006 by the new Managing Director Tim Robinson and Finance Director David Whitehead, backed by private equity firm MST Capital. Click on the ‘News’ icon on the homepage for further details.
Contour has two factories based in Winsford, Cheshire and Longton, Stoke-on-Trent and employs approximately 60 people, many of whom have been with the business since its early days.
All shower enclosures are manufactured at our Winsford site. With our in-house engineering department, we produce our own extruded seals and gaskets and all moulded components. The aluminium and styrene are cut to size depending on the product, the doors are assembled and then the product is packaged ready for delivery, which can be next day for standard door options.
All shower trays, produced at our Stoke-on-Trent site are, made only from the finest GRP, glass reinforced plastic or fibreglass, to the highest standards and are guaranteed for 25 years.
Designed with lifes daily routine in mind, all our quality shower trays feature Microban® antibacterial protection. Shower trays featuring Microban® are designed to inhibit the growth of harmful and odour causing bacteria, mould and mildew.
Not content to let Microban® technology do all the good work to help our shower trays retain their smart appearance, all shower trays are manufactured to withstand extremes of weight and for easy installation. An anti-slip surface gives the user added confidence when entering or exiting the shower area.
